According to veteran professional wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter,

CM Punk and All Elite Wrestling are reportedly in talks to buy out the remainder of his contract.

The report comes less than two months after Punk went on a tirade before a physical altercation during

his post-all-out media scrum, prompting an investigation into the incident.

Meltzer admitted that Punk and AW representatives have discussed his future with the company,

but "it seems doubtful he'll be back

"People with close knowledge of the situation said they're in talks with Punk to buy out the remaining years on his contract

which tells you they're not looking to bring him back," the holdup is now calling a non-compete period.
