Justice Department lawyers and former President Donald Trump are in federal court Thursday afternoon

 arguing over whether a judge should appoint a special master to review materials

 the FBI seized from Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence. Club last month.

S District Judge Eileen M. Cannon indicated over the weekend that

he was interested in appointing a special master, but directed the government to present its case against

naming one in a filing ahead of the hearing.

Journalists present for the hearing are not allowed to send updates during the hearing,

according to court rules.
